Italian Tofu Pesto Recipe

This is something like a four wheel drive armored car that banks use to transport cash that would make any boy from Texas want one for Christmas. Patrick was, of course, riding on top because sticking your noggin out of the top of one of these things is the coolest ever and I’m guessing he had a 50 caliber machine gun up there. (I was wrong, he was unloading gear. I’ve since talked to him and he is modifying his story to match the cooler way I’m writing it.) ...continue reading about Italian Tofu Pesto Recipe...
Restaurant Review
It may look like I’ve been slacking on the recipe publishing (and I have), however I have a good excuse. I’ve been reading a book called the China Study by T. Colin Campbell. It’s title “The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-term Health” suggests only a portion of the content and research of the book. It is a fascinating study along with significant research that suggests the causality of cancer and heart disease and the ability through food to literally turn them on and off. ...continue reading about Restaurant Review...
Finally, My Video on Jayni’s Kitchen!
Holy crap. I now have a total humble, new-found respect for people who do video work. I’ve been trying to get this huge video up on the blog for two days. If you do this kind of work, props to you. (and if you don’t know what props means, don’t feel bad. I had to look it up. It means to give the proper respect to someone due of that respect)

Upgrades to Foodmedic

We’re almost in the New Year and I’ve made some changes to the site. One will make it easier to subscribe and get automatic email updates when I post new recipes. There is also a feature to allow all of you to make your own posts right on the front page. I’ve also modified the recipe postings following the most recent post to help the pages display more efficiently.
First, when you come to the site, you’ll notice a box just to the right of the featured article that looks like this:

What do vitamins and minerals do for you?
So, I give little snippets about what foods have such-and-such vitamin and mineral and what those things do, but because people generally know what disease or illness they have up front or what they are trying to prevent I decided to list some links that give specific information. HealthCheck Systems has a quick list of vitamins and minerals although the list is a little sparse on in-depth information. I would use it as a guide to determine if you need to seek out more information. GirlsHealth.org is another site that provides a listing but this site goes a… ...continue reading about What do vitamins and minerals do for you?...
